About the Movie
Based on Amos Oz's international best-selling autobiography and starring Natalie Portman in her directorial debut, A Tale of Love and Darkness follows the beautiful story about a son's relationship with his mother set during the end of the British Mandate for Palestine and the early years of the State of Israel. The film details the young man's experiences growing up during a time of war, his birth of becoming a writer, and looking at what happens when the stories we tell, become the stories we live.
