About the Movie
Based on the Shores’ play of the same name, “Sordid Lives” tells the story of a trash-talking, wacky family who gathers for their grandmother’s funeral. When their grandmother is found dead in a seedy hotel room next to a much younger man, her passing brings the small community together as the town's characters rehash their worthless lives one by one (including a man with wooden legs, a tattooed barfly, and a transvestite in an insane asylum).

     描述一个加州小镇家庭的故事。故事开始于一个祖母级的女人PEGGY跟装假肢的邻居在旅馆偷情，洗澡出来不小心踩到假肢，跌倒致死。这个女人的葬礼，把剧中的家庭成员集合在一起。这个女人有两女一子，其中大女儿和那个偷情邻居的老婆是好朋友，二女儿有个儿子远在洛杉机，在祖母过世前一个星期，她被邀请去看他宝贝儿子的表演，结果居然是一个同志裸体剧……
