  • Ja Rule - Uh-Ohhh! (feat. Lil Wayne) - Single [iTunes Version]

Genres: Hip-Hop/Rap, Music, Gangsta Rap, Hardcore Rap
    Released: Aug 07, 2007
℗ 2007 Universal Records, a Division of UMG Recordings, Inc.
As the flagship artist for producer Irv Gotti's Def Jam-affiliated Murder Inc. label, Ja Rule became one of the rap industry's most commercially successful artists during the early 2000s, working closely with the hitmaking producer and his stable of talent. • Ja Rule - Rule 3:36 (iTunes Version)

Genres: Hip-Hop/Rap, Music, Hip-Hop, Gangsta Rap, East Coast Rap, Hardcore Rap
    Released: Oct 10, 2000
    ℗ 2000 UMG Recordings, Inc.
On his second album, Rule 3:36, Ja Rule includes a few radio-friendly rap-R&B hybrids ("Between You and Me," "Put It on Me," "I Cry"), which are then filled out with the same style of Ruff Ryder-style hardcore rap that characterized his debut album, Venni Vetti Vecci (1999). Whereas that album had featured some prominent guests from the Def Jam stable (Jay-Z, DMX, Erick Sermon, Memphis Bleek), Rule 3:36 is primarily an in-house affair, featuring the extended Murder Inc. roster. The result is an uneven album comprised of crossover-R&B singles and hardcore rap filler; even though the commercial prospects are improved, Rule 3:36 isn't any more satisfying than Venni Vetti Vecci had been.
    Track List:
    1. "Intro"
    2. "Watching Me"

Much like his work with others that eschewed the use of samples in place of original party-ready beats, Swizz keeps this winning formula intact whether he's pumping strings to give the title cut an operatic feel or the ominous blaxploitation groove permeating "Guilty," a duet with dancehall superstar Bounty Killer. Such is Swizz's pull that he's got Metallica and Ja Rule tearing it up on the thunderous "We Did It Again," Nas and Fat Joe tossing in their two cents on the "Salute Me" remix, and Ron Isley lending his dulcet tones to the smooth Jadakiss workout "Big Business." Other notable names include upcoming R&B thrush Mashonda teasing LL Cool J in the sensual "Ghetto Love" as well as holding her own against Shyne in a track of the same name that ended up being the last recording he worked on before being sent off to prison. SWIZZ BEATZ PRESENTS G.H.E.T.T.O. is that rare combination of an extensive Rolodex meeting an exemplary talent.
